There are many scouts that are only a few
requirements away from their next rank. Scouts
that are First Class and higher will be teaching
scouting skills to the lower ranks. We will
also be testing skills to sign-off on requirements
all the way to First Class.

We will be
preparing for Winterfest.

Dodge ball, if time
permits.

The skills that
were required for your current rank.

The skills that are
required and your readiness for
your next rank.

It is also a time for you to ask any
questions you might have and to give feedback to the troop
committee about activities and your Scouting experience in your
troop and in your patrol.
What to
bring:

2/6 Munson
Candy Bars Fund Raiser - 10:00 to 4:00
at Stop and Shop
What we're doing:
-
We
are selling Munson Candy Bars at a local
grocery store as a fund raiser.
-
Profits from this fund raiser will be used for troop
equipment, supplies, scouting awards, etc.
-
Our troop needs all of our scouts to help!
What to
bring:
What
to wear:
-
Full
Class A uniform
(no jeans or baseball caps. You
don't have to purchase official
scout pants, green matching pants are acceptable).
-
If raining, wear a
rain coat.
-
If cold, wear
thermal underwear, gloves, parka and a hat.
-
If warm and sunny,
we are requesting no shorts. Your legs would look
embarrassingly white.

Troop Committee Meeting

Church 3rd Floor
Parents are also
encouraged to join the adult leadership of the troop.
As our scouts move on, so do our parents. Our
troop is always looking for Merit Badge Counselors,
Committee Members, and Assistant Scoutmasters.

Scout Recruiting Night
- 7:30 Wapping
Church
-

training in many areas of scouting.

First Aid
(1st, 2nd, and 3rd
degree burns, snake bites, etc...)
instructions for prospective scouts.

Pioneering
with lashing a litter that can carry the Scoutmaster
(Mr. George requests that this be solid).

We will be
preparing for Winterfest the entire meeting (that is
why this is an indoor meeting). Proper campout
cleaning of eating gear demonstration.

We will be
discussing the winter survival strategies that you will
be tested on during the trip.

We will also be
discussing how a space blanket works and why you need to
bring one.

Troop 880 Winterfest
Trip
at Camp Wanocksett (NH)

We are going to get out
there and have some fun.

Sliding, ice
skating and ice fishing (providing there is ice).

Shelter building
and other advancement requirements.

Electronic
games, etc...
This trip
is not to be missed. Sign-up early or sleep outside!
