"Be Prepared" for all meetings - Patrol Leaders Must Communicate!

 

12/3 PLC (Patrol Leaders Council) - 7:00 Wapping Church

 

What we're doing:

  • Discussing ideas for next month's activities.

 

What to bring:

  • At least 4 of your best ideas for future meeting and scout challenges.
     

What to wear:

  • Casual attire is acceptable.

 

 

12/3 BOR (Board of Review) - 7:00 Wapping Church

 

What you should know:

  • The skills that were required for your current rank.

  • The skills that are required and your readiness for your next rank.

  • It is also a time for you to ask any questions you might have and to give feedback to the troop committee about activities and your Scouting experience in your troop and in your patrol.

 

What to bring:

  • All scouts who are meeting to attain their next scout rank, must  bring their Scout Handbooks with them.

 

What to wear:

 Full Class A uniform (no jeans or baseball caps.  You don't have to purchase official scout pants, green matching pants are acceptable).

 

 

12/10 Meeting - 7:30 Wapping Church

 

What we're doing:

  • Each patrol should come prepared to bake at least 2 dozen cookies which will donated to shelters in the area.

  • Each patrol will need to prepare a skit for the Pot Luck Dinner on January 14th.  Patrol corners will give you time to discuss.  It is important that all patrols attend in full.

  • If skits are all planned and ready to perform, then...and only then...we will be showing a fun Christmas movie.   

 

What to bring:

  • Scouts who have not attained the rank of First Class should always bring their Scout Handbooks to meetings.

  • Your favorite cookie recipe and all the ingredients.

  • Mixing bowls and utensils.

  • Baking trays.

What to wear:

 Class B Uniforms (bright orange colored shirts)

 

 

12/17 Meeting - 7:30 Wapping Church

 

What we're doing:

  • There are many scouts that are only a few requirements away from their next rank.  Scouts that are First Class and higher will be teaching scouting skills to the lower ranks.  We will also be testing skills to sign-off on requirements all the way to First Class.

  • Each patrol will review their skits for the Pot Luck Dinner on January 14th. 

What to bring:

  • Scouts who have not attained the rank of First Class should always bring their Scout Handbooks to meetings.

What to wear:

 Full Class A uniform (no jeans or baseball caps.  You don't have to purchase official scout pants, green matching pants are acceptable).

 

12/24 No scheduled meeting - Christmas Eve

 

What we're doing:

Staying home to celebrate the holiday with family and friends.

  • Watching "It's a Wonderful Life" on the TV.

  • Putting out milk and cookies (carrots for the reindeer).

  • Waiting for Santa.

 

What to bring:

A stocking to hang on the fireplace.

 

What to wear:

 Comfortable pajamas.

 

12/31 No scheduled meeting - New Year's Eve

 

What we're doing:

Staying home to celebrate the holiday with family and friends.

  • Writing our list of things to give up during the new year.

  • Watching the ball drop at Times Square on the TV.

 

What to bring:

Party hats and favors.

 

What to wear:

Casual attire is acceptable.
